What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese word meaning “Universal Life-Force Energy.” It is a non-invasive technique that supports individuals on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level by balancing energy throughout the body and promoting healing.
During a typical Reiki session, the client reclines on a massage table and the Reiki practioner places her hands on, or a few inches above, the body. The Reiki practioner then attunes the client to key areas of the body in a therapeutic, relaxing and serene process. The client’s comfort is of utmost importance; if preferred, Reiki can be performed in a seated position and/or without physical contact.
Benefits of Reiki
Reiki has the potential to help everyone feel better. It can relieve symptoms of anxiety, depression, trauma and stress. Reiki energy provides a space to work through past experiences where people are often “stuck”. Furthermore, Reiki also creates space for enhanced self-awareness, openness and connection.
Many Tree of Life Center clients have reported that Reiki helps recovery from illness, improves sleep, better manage challenging emotions and provides a sense of balance during times of transition. Others have used Reiki to unlock creativity, build confidence and spur motivation.
Reiki may be used in conjunction with all other types of medical and homeopathic healing modalities to get you to your healthiest point.
